This is the twenty-sixth edition of Lots-O-Links, posts where I randomly share links. Fun, huh? I can now call it the weekly post that four (real, I presume) people have gone on record as liking. Pretty cool!

Roger Lawrence is looking for beta readers, so if you like to beta read and have some spare time, stop by his blog and check him out. If I had time right now I would as he’s very fun, so I am sure his books are, too!

Jonathan Harvey has graced us with a Vampire Willy story that was rejected by his Creative Writing Instructor (genre fiction? tsk tsk! we can’t have that!) however it is a fun read, especially if you;re a vampire Willy fan.

Juli has been cheating and not staying computer free while she heals – but I guess that’s okay because she DID have to post her sunshine award...

In random blogs, I am totally on board with Alannah Murphy’s post Lamment for a  Lost World.  But then it is summer time and I have seasonal summer depression, so I always get melancholy this time of year.

And speaking fo other people I agree with, Raptor’s Claw has an excellent blog entry about writing for entertainment. All I can say is YES! YES! YES! There’s nothing wrong with a book or movie that makes me think, but I want to do it because *I* want to, not because the author told me to! And I agree with him 100% – I can;t stand when an author turns preachy – unless they are preaching about something that pertains to their genre (like if they’re a Christian writer for instance, preaching Christian stuff makes perfect sense, or a political writer quipping about politics non stop. ) and in fact have unsubbed from Anne Rice because I was sick of her anti-religion posts. I don’t care what she does or does not believe. I liked her vampire books. She wants to post about her vampires, or her witches, or whatever, I’ll read it. She wants to post about the evils of religion? She lost me.

Have you ever heard of the classic story the Pineapple and the Hare? No, well worry no more! Here are two versions of the little tale, which is used on eighth grade standardized English tests. Though the company responsible for the tests claims that the second version is the real one – and it DOES make more sense – the first one is somehow more fun.
