It’s time for Six Sentence Sunday, the blog group where participants share six sentences of something they’ve written, whether it’s a work in progress, something that’s published, or something that will never see the light of day.
I used the ultimate in random, again, and this week’s sentences come form Legacy of Ghosts:
Setup: Katelina and Jorick are discussing vampires and sex, and she says the wrong thing….
“Slurp?” Jorick cried, offended. “Now who’s disgusting?”
She rolled her eyes. “Sorry, do you have a better word for it?”
“Yes, I do, actually,” he retorted. “’Sharing blood’ is much nicer, or even ‘exchanging blood’. Of course there’s always ‘coupling’ or the far more picturesque ‘making love’, which I happen to prefer.” He sniffed. “Slurp, indeed!”
Be sure to go read the other participants! Six sentence Sunday is a great way to find and meet new writers.

/ January 23, 2011I remember when we got 7-11 Stores in Memphis, and were introduced to Slurpees. I could not get enough of those frozen concoctions.

/ January 23, 2011Slurpees are awesome! We don’t have 7-11’s, though. The first time I ever went to one was out in Virginia. My brother and I were like “wow!! 7-11!!” and everyone else though we were crazy. We even took a photo of it. 🙂
Jessica Subject
/ January 23, 2011Jorick sure sounds offended. He let her have it.
We used to have 3 7-11s here, but only one is left. My daughter begs for a slurpee every time we pass it. When I was a kid, we used to mix all the flavors. Now, not so much.
Joleene Naylor
/ January 23, 2011I wish I’d gotten a 7-11 slurpee now! I had no idea that 7-11’s and the slurpee were so interconnected Dang! Maybe next time we go out east….
I could see how mixing all the flavors might not be so great once your taste buds develop, LOL!

/ January 23, 2011Must be a US thing – I’ve never heard of slurpees. But I think I’d be a bit offended having that used to refer to my feeding habits!
Joleene Naylor
/ January 23, 2011They’re a drink made, basically, out of super fine crushed ice and sugary flavoring. It’s like a five year olds dream in a cup 😉
Jessica Subject
/ January 23, 2011I live in Ontario, Canada and we have a lot, so not just a US thing. May be limited to certain parts of Canada though.
