Six Sentence Sunday

It’s time again for Six Sentence Sunday, the very cool blog group where participants post six sentences from something they’ve written. It’s a great way to meet new authors and writers.

I’m almost done with my WIP Ties of Blood – over a month late, but better late than never, huh? As such, here’s some more from it

(working cover)

Jorick has just told Katelina that tomorrow she must meet with Malick, the head of the Vampire’s Guild.

She swallowed hard and bit her bottom lip. “How bad is that?”

“I don’t know.” He met her eyes and held them. “Malick is much, much older than anyone you’ve ever encountered, and infinitely more powerful. He makes what I or Kateesha could do look like a child’s game.  If he chose, he could read your soul and destroy your mind in a few moments, without flinching at the effort.”

Thanks for stopping by, and be sure to check out the other participants!

  1. Malick is quite powerful.
But have a necklace of garlic and a silver cross with me. lol

  2. I don’t think she’s going to be able to sleep that night, dreading her meeting the next day.

  3. I want to know more. Why does she have to meet him? Will he do her harm or seduce her?

Great six to pull me in. I know I’ll be back for more.

  9. Malick sounds very scary.

  10. This is intriguing. Can’t wait to see more!

  11. This Mallick sounds like a nasty charecter. I hope he’s not in the mood for soul reading.

  12. The more dangerous, the better. 😉

  13. Ugh! 😦 Does she really have to meet that guy?

  14. I love the darkness of this.

  15. Hmm, he sounds like someone I wouldn’t want to have a beer with.

  16. Oh, now she’s excited to meet the dark lord! lol! Great six!

  17. Well. He doesn’t seem like a very nice guy. I hope someone whacks some sense into him.

  18. can’t wait to see how they get out of this one – I know they will

  19. Gulp. Can you say, dread?

  20. Yikes, somebody is in trouble.

  21. I’m already afraid for her. Maybe she can melt his cold heart?

  22. Well that sounds like a fun date! :-O

  23. I sure hope Malick is the villain. 🙂 I love worthy adversaries. Sounds like good hero material also, but I can’t help it. I’m always rooting for the bad guy.
