Ten Days of Giveaways: Day Eight

To celebrate the release of the fourth book in the Amaranthine series I am hosting ten days of giveaways on this blog! Each day from, May 22 – 31, I will post a tiny excerpt of the fourth book and a prize. To enter, all you have to do is leave a comment with your email address on the blog and you will be automatically entered to win the prize being given away in that blog post! (yes, that means to enter for all ten prizes you have to comment on each of the ten blogs.) If you’re not comfortable leaving your address in a comment, please email it to m at Joleene (at) JoleeneNaylor.com and be sure to let me know which blog you’re entering for.  Random.org will pick the winners on June 4th. I will contact the winners for your mailing address and send the prizes shortly after.

Day Eight:

Anya backhanded Yaul and swung at Alex. Her fist slammed into his gut and knocked him back into Fabian. They fell to the floor in a tangle. Fabian’s opponent took the opportunity to jam a sharp knife into his side. Fabian gave a cry and kicked his opponent’s legs out from under him. He crashed to the floor, and Alex grabbed him in a head lock.

“He’s mine,” Fabian snarled. Something in his eyes made Katelina think of a rabid dog. Alex backed away as Fabian wrested the enemy from his grip and clamped his mouth around a pulsing vein in his neck. The vampire shrieked. He threw the knife away and used his hands to pry Fabian loose.

Anya slammed Yaul into the wall. She snapped at his neck, but he jerked away and her fangs tore into his cheek instead. Kale lunged at Anya, but Des tackled him to the floor. They struggled and Kale landed a blow that knocked the dark vampire’s head back. Kale made it to his feet and Des was right after him. Katelina’s eyes snapped to Jorick in time to see him discard a broken armed vampire. He met her eyes briefly, as if to say everything was all right.

Two lucky winners will each get one (1) “Vampires and Glitter Don’t Mix” T-shirt Transfer.

Put it on a t-shirt, a tote bag, a jacket – anything you want! All you need is an iron and an imagination. Directions are included.

Good luck and thanks for stopping by! Be sure to check back tomorrow for another fun giveaway, and if you haven’t yet, be sure to check out the other Ten Days of Giveaways blogs!

Who do you think is the meanest vampire? (Can be from any series.) (I’ll share the most interesting answers(s) on facebook.)

that is hard because in all the books I read the vamps end up being kind of good guys . Oh! I know, Viktor from Underworld (the movie).

Obsidian Butterfly (Itzpapalotl) in the Anita Blake series. She is seriously deluded, in that she thinks she is an Aztec goddess, and forces people to do a lot of crazy things, like stab themselves repeatedly as an offering to her.

I am going to say Abraham from The Blood That Bonds by Christopher Buecheler is one of the meanest vampires. syndiasia@yahoo.com

Kateesha has got to be the most ruthless I have met so far. She only cared about herself ofcourse and would do anything and betray anyone who stood in her way and enjoy it.

Hmmm…a stumper!! How about Russell Edgington (sp?) from True Blood? The TV show not the books (those books irritate me). He gonna eat yer children!! blueridgephotos@yahoo.com

Claudius Kills for no one but himself.

  7. Fun transfer, Jo! He! He!

Meanest vampire? Hmm… You’ve got a healthy share of mean ones, Jo! Senya, Claudius, and Kateesha are tops on my list. My mind is drawing a blank on any other mean ones.

I’m afraid I can’t answer that due to lack of experience in the vampire field. Quite the action packed scene!

  9. I love the transfer – too funny. But, where are the tee transfers of your books for promoting you? Inquiring minds want to know…

In the series Vampire academy (which is like my Fave series about vamps, that I have read)
I think that Demetri is the meanest vam after he turns into a Stragi ; which is like this evil vampire group that kill humans for fun.

I have yet to read that series. So i am commenting just to comment. LUV YA SHAY!

    • That sounds interesting! I haven’t read it either, but I think I should look it up 🙂

  11. Discarding a broken armed vampire is slightly different than discarding a broken vampire arm. jissilly@yahoo.com
