Blog Award!

blogger-image-564723179Recently the ever sweet Emily Guido gave me the Liebster Award (it is pretty and pink!!) If you have never checked out her blog, you should. She writes a… I’ll call it paranormal for lack of a better term, but it’s angels and demons and, well, I have the first two books on my kindle right now, waiting for me to finish the book I am currently on.

There doesn’t seem to be anything more to it then posting the award and nominating five fellow bloggers, but what kind of a post would that be? So I used a random topic generator to create my own five questions – which I am going to answer about Heart of the Raven.

1. What is one thing you regret?

I regret having to kill one of my characters because it is one that I enjoy writing, however, they need to go. (No, it is not Oren 😉 )

2. What is one decision you are putting off?

Turning Katelina. I tossed around the idea of doing it in this book, and even had a way that it would have worked, but then the scenes didn’t go the right way and truthfully I wasn’t ready to commit to it yet. (Yes, Katelina and I both have commitment issues.)

3. Are Jorick and Katelina ever going to get a new phone?

Jorick says no. Katelina says maybe. I’m just the author, so don’t ask me.

4. What’s the worst way a character dies?

Though as of this draft you don’t get to see it, there’s someone Malick or Senya kills that I am 100% positive was a bad, bad, gruesome way to go. I think Malick may have exploded his head, as he is wont to do.

5. What are your procrastination methods?

Facebook is a good one. Email. Checking my sales stats on all the different sites. Twitter. Habi Makeover. Blogging. And those are just the computer ones. Research is also killing me on this book because they’re over seas so I have to check every little thing; I can’t say “it’s cold outside” without first googling the average temperatures in January of whatever place they’re at and, of course, checking two or three sites for verification. Google maps satellite view has also been really helpful but takes a lot of time.

Since  I am having a hard time choosing, and I used a random generator for the questions, I am going to put all my potential nominees into and let it choose!

  1. CONGRATULATIONS YOU DESERVE IT!!!!! Same here with Facebook… I could spend all day on there! Thanks, Emily

  2. Congratulations on the award. And it better not be Verchiel. I’m crying already just thinking of it. Or Loren or Micah or…or any of them. Sigh. Whoever it is, I’ll miss him/her.

I have nominated you for “The Shine On Award”! Thank you for being such a support to me!

    Lots of love, Emily

  4. Good questions and answers I’m looking forward to reading the book…..and yes I am editing it 😛

  5. congrats!

  6. Sorry to hear about the character you had to kill. 😦 Sometimes you have to do what’s best for the plot, even if it hurts.

LOL on the phone. The characters will decide that one, so you’re right. There’s no point in asking you (the author) that question. 😀

    Congratulations on the award!

  7. Congratulations Joleene! I like the idea of a ‘random topic generator’ I must look into that for those times (often) when I can’t think of anything to put on my blog. I only know Roger on your list of recipients of the award, so I must pay a visit to the other blogs.

  8. Congrats on the award.

  9. I love being random…;)
    Thanks for the award!
