It’s the spanky new Character Gallery! That’s right, the character gallery I have been promising people for over a year is finally up – on my blog, that is. Alas my webtech has not gotten it working on the website yet, so I have superseded him and put it here. You can access the bios and concept drawings of 28 characters and 12 Executioners on the Meet the Characters page. Not only will it help you keep track of who all those pesky characters are, but it gives me somewhere to post the artwork I keep churning out.
Speaking of the website, I am in the middle of redesigning it. Okay, not the middle, the beginning stages, but a redesgin and streamline is eventually coming. Now’s your chance to tell me what you like or don’t like about the site, what you’d like to see, or what you think can go, go, go. Of course the main focus is going to be on the books with a minor focus on the cover art, and I think I may leave the photography section just because it’s cool. However, I think the short stories, poems and artwork sections may bite the big one.
So, if you haven’t checked it out before, do so now – http://JoleeneNaylor.com – sometimes it takes a moment or two to load on slower connections, and in some browsers the “loading” does not show up for some reason, so give it a moment before you say “It’s not working”. (this is one of the things that will be addressed in the new design). Then, share your thoughts in the comments.

/ April 3, 2013very shiny and spark… oops! not sparkly flashy! It is a lot of clicking to take a look at all the character bios/pics. Maybe have all the pics in gallery form so we can look at them and if interested click and get the bio or have the pic and bio in list form. Maybe with 3 or 4 pics/bios before having to click to the next page to see more (if that makes sense ). to much clicking back and forth to look right now.

/ April 3, 2013I don’t know if it will help you, Sharon, but I’m right-clicking on each link and opening a few at a time in a new tab. That way I can move back and forth from one character to the next.

/ April 3, 2013Hmmm. The trouble with galleries is they don’t let you link to an actual page, but rather the image and so you have to put all that bio info as a caption which looks pretty clunky in the gallery. Maybe I could fake a gallery by hand coding it all in….

/ April 3, 2013I’m in the process of visiting all your pages. I’m just so impressed by this. You obviously put tons of effort into this and it’s totally worth it. Well done, Joleene.

/ April 3, 2013Thanks, Tricia! I’m never sure if it’s time spent on anything that would actually attract readers or not, but I enjoy it anyway.

/ April 3, 2013I really like your site but never have the time to visit everything – one of these days I will click on all the links – honest! The ‘loading’ worked fine for me, but then there was a blank page, I waited (because you told me too!) but I’m not sure I would have done if you hadn’t told me (if you see what I mean). The artwork gallery is amazing. That’s one place I will be spending more time in on my next visit. Great website!

/ April 3, 2013yep, that’s it. The loading disappears before it is actually loaded for some reason. it’s really annoying – it started after the last round of browser updates. (or was it the round before?) it’s hard to keep all the updates straight, LOL! And thanks 🙂
