Official Paperback Cover for Children of Shadows

With under a month until release day (March 15) I thought it was time to reveal the official paperback cover.

CoS wrap cover

Why doesn’t it match the slick, shiny ebook cover? Because the series started back in 2009 with these covers, and if I change them all the wonderful people who have bought the first books will now have a mismatched set. Do they care? A couple of them do, and since I’m an indie author I can take that into consideration. After all it’s mainly die hard fans that buy the paperback, anyway, and why shouldn’t they get the cover they want?

Special thanks to Bonnie Mutchler and Steve Evans for their awesome quotes. Check them out!

  1. I am glad you keep the same cover style! *die hard fan here*

  2. You know I prefer the “old” covers anyway, don’t you? ๐Ÿ˜‰ Guess I’m a “die hard fan” too! ๐Ÿ˜€

    • Lol! That and you like character art ๐Ÿ˜‰ which is why your covers are usually tasty.. ERM.. I mean good lmao!

      • Tee-hee! ๐Ÿ™‚ I like covers that feature the characters, not more graphic or photographic ones – that’s why I like your old covers better. It helps me visualize your characters, and I hope mine do the same thing! ๐Ÿ˜‰

  3. I guess Create space is working more quickly on yours than mine. I can’t give a definite date of release

  4. Nice! I prefer the older look. I don’t know why. I like the new look too, but there’s something about the old look. ๐Ÿ˜€

  5. It’s a very cool cover; well drawn and with just the right amount of menace.

  6. It’s such exciting news. I like the old covers…

  7. I much prefer the ‘old’ cover style – probably something to do with my age!!
