IABE Interview!

Jenn Thompson of the award winning IABE was awesome enough to interview me live on Facebook! If you missed it, you can still watch the video.

Jenn and I always have a lot of fun, so check it out!

And if you haven’t joined the Shades of Gray anniversary party yet, its not too late to come play with us!

Chrissie’s Coffee Corner!

coffee corner banner

This Friday (March 17) at 7pm Central/8pm Eastern I will be a guest on Chrissie’s Coffee Corner on Book Born. It will be a live video feed and your chance to ask me questions or even just say hi. If it’s warm we’ll be sitting outside, but from the looks of things I think we’ll be hunkered down in my house trying to ignore the mess.

You don’t need to be a member of Book Born to see the video, though you might in order to comment. If we get bored I might read from something – maybe Brothers of Darkness or, if I can find a non-spoiler section, maybe Goddess of Night (the unreleased book!) So bring your questions and hope to see you Friday!

(How live videos work: Live videos are on Facebook – so you’ll have to be logged into Facebook to see it [I’ll post it here after it’s over if I can]. It will show up on Book Born’s page, not my page. I am the only one who is live. You can see me, but I can’t see you. Not fair, I know. To ask questions, comment on the video while I am live (between 8-9 eastern/7-8 central). There is about a 30 second delay between when you post the comment and I get to see it, so it doesn’t mean I’m ignoring you, it just means Facebook hasn’t let me see it yet.)

The World’s Best Beta Readers!

I just wanted to take a moment and brag about the fact that I have the worlds best beta readers 😉 Well, I do. But, okay, I guess bragging isn’t nice, so instead I will settle for saying thanks to Sharon (of I Smell Sheep fame – awesome blog, check it out!), Steve Evans (fellow author – check out his books!)  Juli (with no e – the ruler and writer of the Williamson Vampires – check out her blog!),  and of course the infamous Bonnie (who can credit herself with my birth among other things!) without whom book three would have been boring and book four… well, we’ll see if I can whip it into something after taking in all of their awesome suggestions!

Here is a video not only for them, but for everyone who has taken the time to drop me a note, comment on my blog, read the book(s) or stories, recommended them to their friends/love ones or even just generally said “hello” in the last year ( I not only have the best beta readers, but also the best fans and friends, too! 🙂 And did I mention the poor editor who is slaving away? )

And I mean that!

(And for anyone who wants to know I am still planning on a spring release for the still untitled book 4, though perhaps more May than April.)

Legacy of Ghosts trailer – Second Try

Okay, so for some reason the trailer video will not post to the blog post (wtf?) But it will post to comments, so… see comment below 😉

Legacy of Ghost’s Trailer…..

What?!?! But I thought…

Yeah, yeah, Ties of Blood is the new book. However, I finally got the trailer for Legacy of Ghosts done. No, I didn’t have a sudden rush of spare time, I had some internet issues (like I needed that after the email fiasco!) and so while I had to wait for them to resolve I finished up the trailer I have had in the works for months. Yay. It’s finally done. Now to get the trailer finished for  Ties of Blood…

for some reason it is not showing up so here is the link – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aItzkbvHtqE

Vampires and… Pot?

I have officially finished Ties of Blood and it is sent off to the editor and to a couple of beta readers. What does that mean? it means I am done for now and need to get caught up on the book covers I have waiting for me to finish. Though I don;t normally post much in here concerning those, I will say that I will no longer be formatting manuscripts for the POD places, nor will I be making wrap around covers anymore (unless you have something commissioned already). These are both too time consuming right now.

Anyway, I am taking a couple weeks to get everything (including my neglected website!) caught up and then I have some very cool ideas for posts and such.  Just bear (not bare – that could be a whole different kind of blog!) with me and things will get more exciting. I promise.

Okay, now that I’ve bored you, here’s a video that was sent to me by Sue – otherwise known as SassySue!

Vodpod videos no longer available.

Ha ha! Run pizza boy, run!

If you guys know of any other great vampire videos feel free to send them in! I always enjoy them!

PS – for fellow WordPress bloggers that want to know HOW I got this video to embed, please check this out – http://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/vodpod/ – very handy!!!!!

Interview, Guest Blog & a Video!

Yeah, this post has it all goin’ on! Mainly because I’ve been behind and now have to cram it all into one post. Erm, no, no, I mean, uh, I planned it that way. Yeah. That’s right.

Linda S. Prather, author of the Jacody Ives Mysteries, was kind enough to Interview me for her new blog.  And I’m not the only one. She’s on an interviewing roll, including Larry Enright and Al Boudreau.

Reena Jacobs, author of Shadow Cat, was also nice enough to allow me to do a guest post for her blog about turning your eBook cover into  a paperback cover. She is featuring guest posts from authors every week in her Authors Helping Authors series. There’s a lot of good information, there.

And now for the video. It’s not actually a video. I mean it is animated, and you have to hit a play button, but it doesn’t require any sound because it’s actually a collect of vampire jokes that are so, so bad they’re funny.

Aren’t you glad you stuck around for that?

Love is in the Air!

From sweet to steamy, but always romantic! Why not get in the mood for love with IAU? Stop by and Read some romantic excerpts!

(whatcha’ think of the trailer? It’s the answer to what I did with my morning.)

eHow to Escape a Succubus

You can blameJissilly for these videos. He’s the one who found them originally. Okay, so there’s no vampires, but a succubus is kind of in the vampire family, right?

And, because you never know when you might need to do this…. Here’s eHow to Call Home from Beyond the Grave

You can now say your “weird stuff” quota has been met for the week. And hey, it’s only Wednesday, so you’re ahead!

Fun Vampire Cartoon

Found this on youtube and wanted to share.

Now there’s a man that knows to stay away from a real vampire 😉
