The Year of the Sheep

I may have missed the celebrations for the Lunar New Year, but that hasn’t stopped some very awesome people from hosting a very awesome giveaway. It’s the year of the Sheep and that means that it’s finally time for the reviewers at I Smell Sheep Book Review Blog to take over the world  to host an awesome giveaway. In fact, it’s so awesome, that even Jorick, Katelina, and Verchiel have gotten in the spirit:

YEAR OF THE SHEEP

There are sixteen days left to enter, so hop on over to their pasture on the web and enter to win some amazing swag and prizes. Or don’t. Because if you don’t it means I’m more likely to win my very own Baaart. While you’re there, check out their posts, and their very spiffy Book Review Blog award from Predators and Editors. Go Sheep!

Now, everyone, say “Baaaaaaaaaa!”

BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

Voting Time!

book-contest-semi-finalistIt’s time to vote in the AuthorsdB book cover contest for 2013! And Legacy of Ghosts is a semi-finalist, meaning I need your votes in order for it to move to the finalist stage.

If you’d like, you can vote for Legacy of Ghosts once a day from now until December 15th. As far as I know you don’t need an account at AuthorsdB in order to vote.

How to vote:

Find the cover(s) you want to vote for (You can vote for all of them if you want) then hover over the stars beneath it.

voting

When you click, you are giving the cover however many stars you’ve clicked on, for instance 4 stars, 5 stars, etc. And since you can vote – or rate – as many books as you want, I’d appreciate it if you’d also give five stars to another book in the same category. It’s Charmeine by the ever talented Emily Guido.

Thanks so much guys! Your votes are really appreciated! And while you’re there, be sure to check out the other categories, too.

The “Something Old, Something New” Giveaway

As I mentioned in my previous post I’ve been behind, which means I wasn’t able to fully promote the blog tour. That was sad because there were some great hosts and some interesting posts. Thanks to the “forever” nature of the internet, though, it’s never too late to go see something old as if it were new, nor is it too late t giveaway the last pack of Executioner collector cards:

The whole pack – 15 Executioners and one “cover” card:

The cards are printed on both front and back:

Each card has a front and a back

Each card has a front and a back

Pretty cool, huh? But how can you get your hands on them? It’s easy. Just follow the links below and leave a comment on at least three of the blog posts. You’ll need to comment here and leave me a contact address (either Facebook or your email) and if you want you can tell me where you commented, but you don’t have to. Every comment you leave on an additional blog is an extra entry, so you could actually get up to twenty-two entries by commenting. And if someone says you sent them to this blog in a comment, you get five extra. Oh, and if you’ve already commented on them, say back when the tour was running, then that counts. How easy is that?

Winner will be chosen on June 1, 2013 by Random.org and will be notified by their preferred contact method. If, after two weeks, they haven’t responded a new winner will be chosen. This is open to US and International participants.

And now for that list of eligible blog posts!

Good luck and hope to see you play along!

Voting has Commenced

…at the You Gotta Read book trailer contest! There are a lot of good entries, including DM Yates’ trailer for Always (#2) and one which may be familiar to you called Shades of Gray (ironically #3). They could both use a vote if you have a chance (though I believe you can only vote once per ISP address, which screws over people who share internet like me and hubby) so choose wisely. Of course, there are also 18 other great trailers for you to choose from.

Voting ends the 27th, so if you get a chance stop in!

Day Ten:

Jorick stopped suddenly and picked something up from the bed. “What’s this?”

“What’s what?”

He slowly unfolded his clenched fingers to reveal the silver cross; Velnya’s cross. “Where did you get this?”

She snatched it away from him and dropped her eyes, her cheeks pink. “I found it in the fireplace.”

“Why didn’t you leave it there? If you want jewelry I’ll get you some. Now, give me that and I’ll throw it away.” Though his words were casual, something in his eyes made Katelina’s chest twist painfully.

.

One lucky winners will get a “silver*” cross on a length of ribbon, all in a snazzy gift box:

Day Nine:

A lonely engine sounded in the distance, growing louder as it drew closer. They exchanged semi-curious glances that turned to concern when a sleek black car tore into the driveway. It slid to a halt and the doors popped open. Three figures emerged, each in long black coats that made Katelina cringe. The leader was a woman with dark, bobbed hair. Though she couldn’t see the specific facial features, Katelina knew what they looked like.

Loren stiffened beside her, warily alert. “Is it…”

“Executioners,” she whispered back. “That’s Senya, the one from-”

“Yeah. I recognize the bitch now. She was at a battle we had with Kateesha’s coven.”

Katelina nodded. “I think the big guy with her is Zuri. He was here with Beldren a couple days ago, investigating a murder. I don’t know who the black guy is.”

.

Three lucky winners will each get one (1)set of 16 Executioner cards.

The whole set. Includes the current Executioners and two who have retired.

Ten Days of Giveaways: Day Eight

To celebrate the release of the fourth book in the Amaranthine series I am hosting ten days of giveaways on this blog! Each day from, May 22 – 31, I will post a tiny excerpt of the fourth book and a prize. To enter, all you have to do is leave a comment with your email address on the blog and you will be automatically entered to win the prize being given away in that blog post! .

Day Eight:

Anya backhanded Yaul and swung at Alex. Her fist slammed into his gut and knocked him back into Fabian. They fell to the floor in a tangle. Fabian’s opponent took the opportunity to jam a sharp knife into his side. Fabian gave a cry and kicked his opponent’s legs out from under him. He crashed to the floor, and Alex grabbed him in a head lock.

“He’s mine,” Fabian snarled. Something in his eyes made Katelina think of a rabid dog. Alex backed away as Fabian wrested the enemy from his grip and clamped his mouth around a pulsing vein in his neck. The vampire shrieked. He threw the knife away and used his hands to pry Fabian loose.

Anya slammed Yaul into the wall. She snapped at his neck, but he jerked away and her fangs tore into his cheek instead. Kale lunged at Anya, but Des tackled him to the floor. They struggled and Kale landed a blow that knocked the dark vampire’s head back. Kale made it to his feet and Des was right after him. Katelina’s eyes snapped to Jorick in time to see him discard a broken armed vampire. He met her eyes briefly, as if to say everything was all right.

.

Two lucky winners will each get one (1) “Vampires and Glitter Don’t Mix” T-shirt Transfer.

Put it on a t-shirt, a tote bag, a jacket – anything you want! All you need is an iron and an imagination. Directions are included.

Good luck and thanks for stopping by! Be sure to check back tomorrow for another fun giveaway, and if you haven’t yet, be sure to check out the other Ten Days of Giveaways blogs!
