Day Ten:

Jorick stopped suddenly and picked something up from the bed. “What’s this?”

“What’s what?”

He slowly unfolded his clenched fingers to reveal the silver cross; Velnya’s cross. “Where did you get this?”

She snatched it away from him and dropped her eyes, her cheeks pink. “I found it in the fireplace.”

“Why didn’t you leave it there? If you want jewelry I’ll get you some. Now, give me that and I’ll throw it away.” Though his words were casual, something in his eyes made Katelina’s chest twist painfully.

.

One lucky winners will get a “silver*” cross on a length of ribbon, all in a snazzy gift box:

Day Nine:

A lonely engine sounded in the distance, growing louder as it drew closer. They exchanged semi-curious glances that turned to concern when a sleek black car tore into the driveway. It slid to a halt and the doors popped open. Three figures emerged, each in long black coats that made Katelina cringe. The leader was a woman with dark, bobbed hair. Though she couldn’t see the specific facial features, Katelina knew what they looked like.

Loren stiffened beside her, warily alert. “Is it…”

“Executioners,” she whispered back. “That’s Senya, the one from-”

“Yeah. I recognize the bitch now. She was at a battle we had with Kateesha’s coven.”

Katelina nodded. “I think the big guy with her is Zuri. He was here with Beldren a couple days ago, investigating a murder. I don’t know who the black guy is.”

.

Three lucky winners will each get one (1)set of 16 Executioner cards.

The whole set. Includes the current Executioners and two who have retired.

Ten Days of Giveaways: Day Eight

.

Day Eight:

Anya backhanded Yaul and swung at Alex. Her fist slammed into his gut and knocked him back into Fabian. They fell to the floor in a tangle. Fabian’s opponent took the opportunity to jam a sharp knife into his side. Fabian gave a cry and kicked his opponent’s legs out from under him. He crashed to the floor, and Alex grabbed him in a head lock.

“He’s mine,” Fabian snarled. Something in his eyes made Katelina think of a rabid dog. Alex backed away as Fabian wrested the enemy from his grip and clamped his mouth around a pulsing vein in his neck. The vampire shrieked. He threw the knife away and used his hands to pry Fabian loose.

Anya slammed Yaul into the wall. She snapped at his neck, but he jerked away and her fangs tore into his cheek instead. Kale lunged at Anya, but Des tackled him to the floor. They struggled and Kale landed a blow that knocked the dark vampire’s head back. Kale made it to his feet and Des was right after him. Katelina’s eyes snapped to Jorick in time to see him discard a broken armed vampire. He met her eyes briefly, as if to say everything was all right.

.

Put it on a t-shirt, a tote bag, a jacket – anything you want! All you need is an iron and an imagination. Directions are included.

Day Seven:

They looked to see Saeed in the doorway. He shifted his muscled bulk from one foot to the other. “We have extended our protection to this human.”

Joseff jerked away and roared, “Maybe you have, but I haven’t! What is wrong with all of you? You had no love for Claudius, but she killed your Mistress! And her master killed your brother! How can you forget that?”

“I haven’t forgotten,” Saeed answered with no emotion.

“Then how can you shelter her? Am I the only sane one left?” A strange smile twisted across his face. “The stupid human is the only one who makes any damned sense around here! At least she knows to hate us as much as we hate her!”

“You are the only one who hates,” Saeed said quietly. “And it will consume you.”

.

Three lucky winners will each get one large vinyl sticker. Stick them on your door, your laptop, or your secret lab.

Ten Days of Giveaways: Day Six

I will contact the winners for your mailing address and send the prizes shortly after.

.

Day Six:

[Micah said] “Oh fuck, not another speech about the virtues of your Executioner buddy! I’m startin’ to agree with Jorick about that shit. If you think that those two haven’t killed humans then you’re living in a dream world.”

In her mind’s eye Katelina saw Jorick at the institute, holding the dead cop. “That’s different! It was self defense.”

Micah cocked an eyebrow. “Right. Puny humans pose a real threat. Look, we needed blood. I don’t know if you’ve hung out with hungry vampires before, but let me tell ya’ how it works. First you get hungry, then that turns into this gnawin’ pain in your gut. Ya keep waitin’ and it starts to hurt elsewhere; your fingers, your toes, then your hands, your feet – you get the picture? The longer it goes, the worse it gets. Pretty soon it’s like those castaway cartoons where your buddies start to look like a big slab of ham.  And since we’re traveling with a big slab of ham, it’s to your advantage we feed on someone else, get it?”

.

Two lucky winners will each get one (1) “Got Blood?” T-shirt Transfer.

Put it on a t-shirt, a tote bag, a jacket – anything you want! All you need is an iron and an imagination. Directions are included.

Good luck and thanks for stopping by! Be sure to check back tomorrow for another fun giveaway, and if you haven’t yet, be sure to check out the other Ten Days of Giveaways blogs!

.

Day Five:

Malick turned to Katelina with an indulgent smile. She couldn’t look away. Without realizing it, she stood and crossed to him. Physically, Malick was barely taller than she was, but his presence overwhelmed her.

He caught her chin with his fingertips and forced her to gaze into his dark, jewel like eyes. Where Jorick’s were like drowning in warm silk, Malick’s were like falling into naked flame. They seared into her consciousness. She whimpered but couldn’t move away.

He rolled over her until she lost all sense of herself or her feelings. The only thing that existed was the master and his flawless features. His skin was like tawny marble and, as if commanded, she touched his face. It was cool and smooth under her fingers. He was inside her mind. Instead of tearing at raw wounds as he had last time, he peered at things visible on the surface while a calming sensation gently cradled her.

When he released her, it was like falling from a vacuum into the real world. Her ears roared with the buzz of blood. She gasped for air, suddenly aware that she’d quit breathing. Her emotions and awareness of herself came rushing back. She saw her hand, still stretched towards him, and dropped it, mortified.

Three lucky winners will each get a set of three(3) bookmarks that include Verchiel, Malick and Torina.

a bad photo lol!

.

Day Four:

The next evening came too soon. Jorick gave her a soft kiss and left. Katelina stared at the ceiling and willed the day to end. When it didn’t, she got up and started her morning routine.

She’d just finished breakfast when the door opened and Verchiel strolled in. Today’s t-shirt was canary yellow and said “All My Black Clothes are at the Cleaners”.

“Is that another one from the truck stop?”

He dropped into a chair and grinned. “How did you guess? There’s a pink one that says ‘Vampires and Glitter Don’t Mix’ that I have laid out for tomorrow.”

.

Two lucky winners will each get one (1) “All My Black Clothes…” T-shirt Transfer.

Put it on a t-shirt, a tote bag, a jacket – anything you want! All you need is an iron and an imagination. Directions are included.

Ten Days of Giveaways: Day Three

.

Day Three:

Katelina followed Jorick’s gaze. The door at the back of the room was covered in diamond shaped warning labels. If not for the seriousness of the situation, they would have been comical. One had an injured hand with blood dripping from it crossed out, while a second showed a pair of swirly eyes and warned against “vampire hypnosis”. A third showed the black silhouette of a human head with large white fangs where the mouth belonged. “Warning: Vampires may be more dangerous than they appear. Exercise caution at all times”.

“My God, Jorick, where would they get a sticker like that?”

“I don’t know. Perhaps they made it.” He ran his hand around the door and then, with a shrug, tried the handle. It swung open on silent hinges. “Someone forgot to lock up.” Though he joked, his eyes held guarded caution.

Three lucky winners will each get a set of two(2) vinyl stickers. Stick them on your door, your laptop, or your secret lab.

Good luck and thanks for stopping by! Be sure to check back tomorrow for another fun giveaway, and if you haven’t yet, be sure to check out the other Ten Days of Giveaways blogs!

.

Day Two:

Oren walked out of the truck stop, his tawny hair streaming in the wind. His amber eyes flicked over her and he bit off the careful words, “Jorick thinks you can handle it.” He shoved the keys into her hand, then he climbed into the back of the van and pulled the doors closed.

Jorick was waiting patiently by the passenger’s door. Katelina’s gaze flicked over him; his flawlessly smooth skin, broad shoulders, and long, black hair. As she met his eyes, her apprehension disappeared in the warm, silky depths. She knew he produced the artificial calm, just one of many in his bag of vampire tricks, but she shoved it away. Though he meant well, she didn’t like the manipulation.

He shrugged and swung into the passenger seat. Though the sun would rise soon, he sat next to her as she fumbled the vehicle onto the road.

Three lucky winners will each get a set of three(3) bookmarks that include Jorick, Oren and Katelina.

Day One:

Verchiel  dropped into one of the chairs. “How are you this fine morning?” As promised, his black  garb was gone, replaced by a bright red T-shirt that said “Bloodsucker” and a pair of low slung blue jeans.

Katelina stared at the outfit. “First off, it’s not morning and second, what are you wearing?”

He tugged at the shirt in mock offence “What? You don’t like it? I thought it was amusing. I found it at a truck stop in Michigan. They had a bunch of fun slogans.” She stared at him incredulously. “Come on, surely you have a tiny sense of humor?”
